What are the requirements for being a Blue Man?
For starters, you must be between 5'10" and 6'2" with an athletic build. Being a Blue Man is a physically demanding role -you must be in excellent shape.

Do you have an age requirement for auditioning?
You must be at least 18 years old; however, we strongly suggest you have several years of life experience outside of high school before your first Blue Man audition.

I just submitted an application. When will someone from Blue Man Group contact me?
We review all submissions. We will contact you only if we are interested in setting up an audition. Response time varies depending on our audition schedule.

I auditioned a few weeks or months ago in city X. Should I audition again?
We ask that anyone who has auditioned before wait a minimum of 12 months before auditioning again.

What shows are you casting for?
We are currently casting for our shows in Boston, Orlando, Las Vegas and Chicago. We are also casting for positions on board the Norwegian Cruise Line "Epic."

I don't want to go to City X. Should I still audition?
No - you must be willing to relocate to audition.

How much do Blue Men get paid?
Salaries for full-time performers are competitive within the industry and Blue Man Group offers a full range of benefits.

What should I wear to my audition?
Whatever you are comfortable in. Jeans and t-shirt are fine. No blue makeup please.

What do I need to bring to a casting call or audition?
You do not need to bring a drum, drumsticks, or a didgeridoo.

Do I need to be a member of a union?
Blue Man Group is non-jurisdictional. We can hire union or non-union actors.

Can I get feedback on my audition?
Unfortunately due to the number of applicants, we do not offer feedback at an Initial Audition.

If I am hired, where do I learn how to be a Blue Man?
All Blue Man training currently takes place in New York.

I don't have a professional headshot or resume, should I still audition? Yes - your "Audition Information" sheet will tell us what we need to know.

How can I audition for the band?
Casting for band members is done locally on an as-needed basis. Please check the jobs page.
